This segment also engages in the decommissioning, decontamination, and clean-up of legacy radiological and hazardous waste. The Nuclear Energy segment designs and fabricates components and systems for commercial nuclear power industry; provides related maintenance services to plants; and focuses on commercial nuclear power technologies. The company was formerly known as The Babcock & Wilcox Company and changed its name to BWX Technologies, Inc. in June 2015. BWX Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1867 and is headquartered in Lynchburg, Virginia.
