Street Talk tracks what retail investors are saying right now across StockTwits and Reddit. It aggregates mentions, sentiment, and buzz velocity into a single view — so you can see which stocks are driving conversation before the price moves.

BuzzScore — velocity-weighted measure of how fast mentions are growing. Bull/Bear ratio — percentage split between bullish and bearish posts. Mention count — raw volume of posts mentioning each ticker. Sentiment — overall mood — bullish, bearish, or neutral.

A stock with 10 mentions today that had 2 yesterday has a higher BuzzScore than one with 500 mentions that had 480 yesterday. The score measures acceleration — how fast a ticker is gaining attention relative to its baseline. Sudden spikes often precede or coincide with price moves, earnings surprises, or breaking news.

A stock can be overwhelmingly bullish in social sentiment and still drop — retail enthusiasm doesn't override fundamentals. Use sentiment as a contrarian indicator or a confirmation signal, not a standalone buy/sell trigger. When social sentiment and fundamental analysis align, the signal is stronger. When they diverge, dig deeper.
