GoodMoat Analysis

Based on data as of March 26, 2026

Lululemon appears deeply undervalued relative to the GoodMoat Target, offering a significant margin of safety of nearly 60%. However, its modest revenue growth and low P/E relative to its own history warrant a closer look at underlying business quality and moat durability.

Read full analysis
Based on the GoodMoat Target of $385.16, the current price of $158.76 implies a substantial margin of safety of approximately 59%. This falls into the 'Deeply Undervalued' band (>40%) per the framework's DCF-based valuation assessment. The stock's forward P/E of approximately 11.3x is notably low, especially for a company with a 31.8% ROE. This multiple is significantly below the broader market and likely below its own historical average, suggesting the market is pricing in very low growth or potential risks. The 5.2% free cash flow yield also indicates the price is not demanding relative to cash generation. While the valuation metrics appear highly favourable, the framework cautions that a low multiple must be contextualized against the company's growth and quality. Lululemon's 7.1% YoY revenue growth is modest, and the low P/E may reflect concerns about future growth trajectory or competitive pressures that are not captured in the static valuation ratios. A complete assessment requires integrating this valuation picture with a thorough analysis of the company's moat and quality indicators from Sections 1 and 2 of the framework to understand if the low price is a temporary mispricing or a justified reflection of a deteriorating competitive position. Analysis based on data as of 2024-05-15.
